Agreeing to these terms

CRE Tycoon is made by Erik Egelko ("we", "us"). By using this website or playing the game at play.cretycoon.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

It's a game, not advice

CRE Tycoon is entertainment. Its city, buildings, people, prices, loans and returns are fictional and simplified. Nothing in the game or on this website is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. The articles on this site explain general ideas; talk to a qualified professional before making real decisions.

Free to play

The game is free. There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads. We may change, pause or stop the game, the leaderboard or this website, in whole or in part, at any time.

Your saves

Your career is saved in your browser, on your device. We don't keep a copy, so we can't recover a save that is lost when browser data is cleared, a device is replaced, or a private window is closed. See the privacy policy for details.

The leaderboard and fair play

Signing in is optional and only used for the global leaderboard. If you post scores:

• use a display name that is yours to use and isn't offensive, hateful, or impersonating someone else;
• earn your scores by playing the game as it is offered;
• don't use bots, scripts or automation to play, and don't edit your save or tamper with score submissions;
• don't use bugs or exploits to inflate a score. If you find one, we'd be glad to hear about it at [email protected].

We may remove display names, entries or accounts that break these rules, or scores that clearly weren't earned in play.

Acceptable use

Use the website and the game only for lawful purposes. Don't:

• try to break into, overload or disrupt our servers or the services we use;
• try to get at other players' accounts or data;
• copy the game or this website to offer them as your own, or use them commercially without our permission.

Ownership

The game and this website, including their text, graphics, logos, images and code, belong to Erik Egelko or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You may play the game and read the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Press and reviewers may use the screenshots and logos in our press kit to write about the game.

No warranty

The website and the game are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We try to keep them working, but we don't promise they will always be available, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Erik Egelko is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data (including saves), profits or business, arising from your use of the website or the game, even if we were told such damage was possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do. Using the website or the game after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be handled by the courts located in California.
